Amon Düül is kinda of everything. I've never experienced a band, that tried like six different genres. But i must say I like the album, definitely not their best album, in my oppinion. But this is a band who really tries every genre they can. Personally I like their first three albums the best, and I was surprised to hear Viva La Trance, the album wasn't Krautrock or anything like that. And since then I don't think they made the same albums as the three ones they started with. But you know what, it's okay to have a little variety in the genres. I like this album, because its experiemental, and when you see it in that perspective, you can almostt say, that every Amon Düül II album is a great album. Yes they started a to make albums, with pop elements, but just because it's not their original sound, it can still be good albums.
